Project Objective: Update the design and navigation of Boston Financial’s Client Center. The Client Center is a web application where client's can access documents and applications.
This project had a high level of impact on clients and internal users while pushing extremely tight deadlines. To meet the launch date requirements, my attention was focused on updating the visuals to current brand standards and improving the navigation for clients allowing them to more easily find relevant documents and applications.
Information architecture and Site Mapping

The previous iteration of the website suffered high bounce rates due to poor navigation. Content was difficult to find and some links were hidden behind as many as five to six clicks. To remedy this issue analytics data was collected to understand client expectations and map out user flow through information architecture, card sorting, and site mapping.
WireFraming

The most difficult part about this project was overcoming navigation hurdles due to technology and business constraints. The Product Page exists behind a pay wall and had it's own set of navigation. The final solutions was to separate the home and product page into two sites. The navgiation UI works as a toggle between the sites.
Prototyping

High fidelity prototype was developed in Axure. Testing was conducted with internal users. Feedback improved usability and clarity for navigation and many of the internal pages.

The web portal redesign had a successful launch receiving great reviews, including positive comments from a historically difficult client. The newly designed site had increased page views and session duration, as well as reduced user bounce rate.
